Karbon Core extends its individual onboarding capability with a purpose-built case flow, portfolio, and profile designed specifically for natural persons.

Wealth management and retail banking have always demanded more from individual onboarding than a corporate CLM framework can provide. As firms expand their High Net Worth (HNW) and retail client books, the gap between entity-focused workflows and the needs of natural persons becomes harder to absorb: incomplete profiles, miscalibrated risk scores, and compliance teams bridging the difference manually.  

These enhancements in Karbon Core close that gap, building on the platform's established strength in Wealth CLM with a structural enhancement that gives individual clients their own dedicated framework, without compromise. 

What’s Included? 

The enhanced Individuals capability introduces a dedicated object, data model, and workflow for individual client types, separate from, but consistent with, the existing corporate entity framework. This is a structural change, not a cosmetic one. 

  • Individuals Portfolio: lifecycle tracking across all statuses, from Requested to Offboarded.
  • Purpose-Built Case Flow: individual onboarding designed for natural persons, not a repurposed entity process.
  • Individual Details: dedicated KYC profile capturing attributes specific to natural persons.
  • Individual Risk Scoring: risk model calibrated to personal attributes, not a corporate template.
  • Network Viewer: relationship and connection visualisation for individuals and their associated entities.

What Has Been Built? 

A Dedicated Individuals Portfolio 

Every individual is now tracked in a single portfolio view, across all statuses and stages. Compliance and operations teams have full visibility of their individuals at any point including who is in progress, who is pending review, and who has been approved, without navigating across systems. This is the operational control layer that a growing individual client book requires. 

Individual Details and a Purpose-Built Case Flow 

Individuals are onboarded through a case flow designed specifically for natural persons, not a repurposed entity process. A dedicated profile view captures and manages individual-specific KYC attributes including residential address history, identity documents, nationalities, occupation, and personal risk flags. This improves data completeness and consistency across the individual client base.  

Individual-Specific Risk Scoring and Policy Validation 

The calculate risk capability and policy validation checks operate on individual-specific attributes, producing a risk score that reflects the profile of a person: their nationality, residential history, occupation, and screening results. 

Individual Network Viewer 

Karbon Core visualises the relationships and connections between an individual, their associated entities, and other individuals. For compliance teams assessing HNW clients, this matters, understanding who an individual is connected to, and the nature of those connections, is central to accurate risk assessment. The Network Viewer surfaces that picture clearly, supporting better relationship associations and a more complete view of exposure.
